Two hand-bearing compass bearings at 1520: plot the fix.

At 1520 you take two bearings with a hand-bearing compass: Gannet Rock daybeacon bears 038°M and Heron Point Light bears 269°M.

Variation is 7°W (from the rose); a hand-bearing compass held away from the boat's steel is taken to have no deviation. Convert to true, plot the two lines of position, and give the fix as the true bearing FROM Kittle water tank to the fix, and the distance.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
