Two hand-bearing compass bearings at 1640: plot the fix.

At 1640 you take two bearings with a hand-bearing compass: Gannet Rock daybeacon bears 121°M and Heron Point Light bears 201°M.

Variation is 7°W (from the rose); a hand-bearing compass held away from the boat's steel is taken to have no deviation. Convert to true, plot the two lines of position, and give the fix as the true bearing FROM Red nun "2" to the fix, and the distance.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
